Ojisi has over 20 years’ experience working in Community Services in both New Zealand and Australia. His management experience encompasses disability services, family and community services, Family Support Networks, AOD, Mental Health, Child Protection, Children and Youth services, Quality Assurance and Industrial Training. He has worked in Alice Springs for over 15 years in a variety of senior roles managing programs in Central Australia, APY Lands, Yuendumu and in Western Australia, in both remote and rural areas.  He recognises the right of Indigenous peoples to self-determination, and recognises long-held traditions of independent decision-making, self-governance, and institutional self-reliance.

Ojisi has an unshakable belief that social justice youth work is human rights work, that allows youth and adults to collaboratively work together.  He is committed in lifting the voices of justice-impacted youth, who are too often ignored, and seeks to find better ways to support young people by allowing them to tell their own stories – which is so essential to our work in ASYASS.

Ojisi holds a Master of Social Work, Master of Adult Education, Bachelor of Adult Education, Post Graduate Diploma Business Administration (Majoring in HR), Diploma of Personnel and Training Management, Cert. Lead and Internal Auditor BSI ISO 9001.
